Fashion lovers, 2025 is officially here, and the Grammy Awards have set the tone with an unforgettable red carpet! This past Sunday, February 2, marked the 67th edition of the annual Grammy Awards – a night dedicated to celebrating musical excellence.
While this event is undoubtedly one of the biggest nights in music, its red carpet has me convinced that it holds just as much weight in the fashion world. As a designer, I deeply appreciate award shows because they serve as a powerful nod of approval – a moment when artists, stylists, and designers proudly showcase their latest creative expressions.
Before we dive into the fashion, I’d like to take a moment to congratulate all the nominees, winners and performers of the night – your talent and dedication inspire us all! Now, let’s turn our attention to the looks that stole the show.
Chrissy Teigen – a vision of elegance! Her dress was a masterful celebration of her figure, with its colour creating a striking contrast against her skin. Every detail was meticulously designed to complement her shape, resulting in an effortlessly stunning look.
Avery Wilson – men often default to classic suits on the red carpet, but Avery Wilson broke the mould in the best way! I loved how he incorporated feminine details into his ensemble, showcasing the designer’s impeccable craftsmanship and eye for detail.
Alicia Keys – minimalism meets regality! Alicia’s accessories took centre stage, elevating her entire look with an air of sophistication. This ensemble was the perfect representation of her refined aesthetic.
Wayne Brady – a timeless classic! His impeccably tailored suit fit him to perfection. The satin lapel detailing created a beautiful contrast of textures, adding a touch of subtle luxury to his look.
Cardi B – serving peacock glamour – with sparkles! This look was a flawless combination of striking design, expert tailoring, and luxurious fabric. Cardi never fails to bring drama and elegance in equal measure.
Babyface – a classic look with an unexpected twist! The metallic lapels provided a bold contrast against the black jacket, while the gathered detailing on the pants added an extra dimension of interest. If only he had left the jacket open – we could have fully appreciated those impeccably tailored trousers!
